Working closely with a project team consisting of city planning and development
agencies, community members, and a non-profit housing developer, KSK prepared
a plan to guide the redevelopment of the West Poplar area of North Philadelphia.
The project includes a proposal for 200 units of new affordable for-sale housing,
mostly twin homes on private lots. The units feature private rear yards, off-street
parking, front porches, and varying rooflines to create a lively streetscape.
KSK modified the existing street layout to create a safer cul-de-sac play street
and a village green.
